The Hood Law Group, LLC., was formed in 2008, by Sister and Brother, Theresa A. Hood and Jeff Hood. Together they have over 28 years of combined legal experience. Theresa Hood always had a high aptitude for research and justice. Growing up she particularly enjoyed the leadership skills  her father possessed as an Attorney that stood for Justice while always maintaining his integrity for helping others. Both her mother and father encouraged Theresa to strive for her goals and she did exactly that by earning her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina Central University and receiving her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School . Theresa was admitted to the Georgia Bar in May of 1996.  Prior to  becoming a Partner of The Hood Law Group, LLC., Attorney Hood  began her career as a sole practitioner handling a wide range of cases from family law, personal injury, Guardian Ad Litem work, to complex criminal cases. She also was a former child advocate in Fulton County Juvenile Court.  Theresa has been admitted to the State of Georgia Bar , Georigia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court In The Northern District of Georgia.

 

She posseses a solid track record of proven results in the areas of probate and family law. Attorney Hood has always maintained a friendly yet effective manner in dealing with all of her clients.  She also takes time for her court appointed cases.

 

In her spare time, Attorney Hood enjoys advocating for Breast Cancer Awareness. She is a proud member of her church's usher board and also enjoys tennis and traveling.

A native of Washington D.C. Jeffery A. Hood (Jeff) graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Jeff decided to pursue his father's footsteps of serving as an advocate to people by becoming an Attorney. He enrolled into John Marshall Law School to pursue his law degree. After graduating from law school, He pursued a career in politics by working for a member of the U.S. Congress. He also served as a lobbyist on behalf of the State.  Jeff has been admitted to the Georgia Bar, Georgia Court of appeals, Supreme Court of Georgia , and the U.S. Supreme Court.

 

After working in Politics for a few years Attorney Hood worked in the Fulton County Public Defender's office, where he tried many criminal cases and developed a reputation for his litigation skills by prosecutors and judges. He continued to expand his expertise by handling civil cases and personal injury matters as well.

 

He continues to expand his portfolio by participating in many other activities both professional and philanthropic. Utilizing his  keen ability in negotiating and networking, Jeff Hood has also taken his passion for football to the next level by being a Certified NFL Agent.

 

When he is not working, Jeff Hood is involved with coaching youth football league and coaching a local chapter of high school mock trials.
